Lili Reinhart's Tattoo Collection Is Full of Tiny Designs

You may know that Lili Reinhart is one of the main characters on The CW's "Riverdale," but there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. For example, did you know she also has a lot of tiny tattoos? Most of the designs are hidden — albeit easy to spot if she is wearing short-sleeves — but many might not know the deeper meanings behind each piece of ink.

Whether it's a matching design she got with a friend or one that symbolizes getting through a difficult time in her life, Reinhart's tattoos all have a special meaning. The actor has seven known tattoos so far — one that she got as recently as June 2023, and it was a long time coming. According to a 2019 interview with Refinery29, she said that she'd love to get one with all of her "Riverdale" costars and crew members, and judging by a recent Instagram post of her, Camila Mendes, Vanessa Morgan, and Madelaine Petsch, it looks like that wish came true.

Lili Reinhart's Mystery "Riverdale" Tattoo

On June 26, 2023, tattoo artist Kaiju shared a photo with a few of "Riverdale"'s stars, disclosing that they got matching ink to commemorate the show's conclusion. "And that's a wrap for the special day🥹 thanks for the girls to letting me be a part of this special moment 🥰 I loved every single moment of it. Pics coming soon♥️♥️," reads her caption. The design has yet to be revealed.

Lili Reinhart's "SWAK" Tattoo

In June 2023, Reinhart got a tattoo in honor of her nana on the back of her arm. The design is of the letters "SWAK" in a tiny, handwritten font. She shared the design on her Instagram Stories saying, "My nana used to write this on the outside of envelopes. "Sealed with a kiss."

Lili Reinhart's Arrow Tattoo

In June 2015, Reinhart debuted an arrow tattoo on her left forearm. She revealed to PeopleStyle in 2017 that the ink represents her journey with anxiety and depression and is meant to serve as awareness to take care of your mental health. The actor quoted the mantra, "An arrow can only go forward by belling pulled back," as her inspiration.

What's more, the Riverdale actor realized in 2016 she and her on-screen mother have the same tattoos on the same spot of their arm, by the same artist (celebrity tattooist Dr. Woo). "Mother-Daughter telepathy?" she asked on Instagram.

Lili Reinhart's Triangle Tattoo

Although Reinhart's upside-down triangle tattoo is in a hidden spot — on her left ribcage — it has made a few appearances on red carpets. In a Twitter thread in 2016, the actor said the ink is meant to represent the earth (as in, the element). She was born in September, which makes her a Virgo, which is an earth sign.

Lili Reinhart's Cross Tattoo

In 2016, Reinhart got a cross inked on her right pinky finger (which she later called "impulsive" on Twitter, linking to a video of the process).

This is the one design you can spot on "Riverdale." "We kind of gave up covering my [cross] finger tattoo. We literally don't cover it anymore. So if you look, you will see it. It's like an Easter egg," Reinhart told Refinery29 in 2017. She never gave a specific meaning behind it, but one can only guess it has to do with her faith.

Lili Reinhart's Rose Tattoo

In 2017, Reinhart got a dainty rose tattooed on her right forearm. The actor also revealed the meaning of this one to PeopleStyle saying it shows how she wears her heart on her sleeve. "I love roses, but I don't want to say it's that basic," she said. "I'm kind of a warrior for love. I've learned that I do wear my heart on my sleeve. I love love."

Before she got the tattoo, in 2016, Reinhart also tweeted that she wanted a tattoo in dedication to Lana Del Rey, one of her favorite singers. "One of her lyrics maybe," she said at the time. Del Rey does have a song called "Guns and Roses," so one could speculate this design could be a nod to that.

Lili Reinhart's "Constellation" Tattoo

During an at-home session with tattoo artist Kiju in Vancouver (where "Riverdale" is filmed), Reinhart got a matching constellation tattoo with co-star Vanessa Morgan. The design on her left forearm consists of an upside down rose, with an eye and stars that form a constellation. Though Reinhart wasn't clear on the inspiration behind her tattoo, the evil eye, in certain cultures, is believed to protect people from bad luck and negativity.
